Setting Up a Verified Caller ID in Synthflow

Last updated: June 12, 2025

A Verified Caller ID allows you to make outbound calls from your AI agent using a number you already own—through a phone number purchased from Synthflow. This is ideal for maintaining brand identity or using a business number your customers already recognize.

Steps to Set Up a Verified Caller ID

  1. Go to the Phone Numbers settings

    • Log into Synthflow

    • Navigate to “Phone Numbers” in the sidebar.

  2. Click “Verify Existing Number”

    • Instead of buying a number, select the “Verify Number” option.

  3. Enter Your Phone Number

    • Input the number you’d like to verify (e.g., your business landline or mobile).

  4. Choose Verification Method

    • You’ll be prompted to receive a code via:

      • Call: A voice call will read out the verification code.

      • SMS: You’ll receive a text with the code (if the number supports SMS).

  5. Enter the Code in Synthflow

    • Input the verification code into the popup field.

  6. Success Confirmation

    • If verified successfully, the number will appear in your Phone Numbers list labeled as “Verified”.

Notes & Limitations

  • Verified numbers only work on V1 at this time [Dated:6/12/25]

  • Verified numbers can only be used for outbound calling—you cannot receive inbound calls on them.

  • Only one assistant can be assigned to a verified number at a time.

  • Your verified caller ID will appear on customers’ phones as the outgoing caller ID, helping build trust and reduce call screening.
